Fasziniert - seit Beginn ihrer Karriere - ist Eva Schlegel von der Überwindung der Schwerkraft, der Losgelöstheit zugleich auch als Synonym für das Risiko des ungesicherten Falls, des (Ab-)Sturzes. In einer großen Personale nimmt die facettenreiche Künstlerin den gesamten Luftraum des MAK für sich ein. (8.12.2010-1.5.2011)

Im Mittelpunkt der Ausstellung, die ebenso pornografische Lackbilder wie aktuelle Bleiarbeiten präsentiert, steht eine beeindruckende Installation, die sich mit dem Thema Fliegen und Fallen an der Grenze der Möglichkeit zwischen Gelingen und Scheitern auseinandersetzt. Diese Installation wird im wahrsten Sinne Fühl- und Hörbar, stellt sich dem Betrachter entgegen, projiziert Bilder und Bildstörungen sowie Windsounds.

Fascinated - from the outset of her career - Eva Schlegel has been by mastering gravity, a sense of being detached, also a symbol of the risk of the unsecured fall, the drop-the crash. In the solo exhibitionthe multifaceted artist Eva Schlegel uses the whole of the MAK air space for her purposes. (8.12.2010-1.5.2011)

At the center of the exhibition, which presents pornographic lacquer images and current lead works as well, is an impressive installation, which tackles the theme of flying and falling between success and failure, at the very edge of that what is possible. This installation can be palpable and audible in the truest sense, it confronts the viewer, conveying images and image distortions as well as wind sounds.
