  • What does that poster say in Gallifreyan?

  • @gstrong96 - It's the Seal of Rassilon. It's on the banjo headstock as well.

  • What is the tuning? Double C? Why The Capo?

  • @TheZensatori - It's Open G tuning. The banjo is a long neck banjo so with the capo at the third fret is the same as a standard length banjo.

  • @anotherpintband I am new to banjo, how many frets make it a "long neck?"

  • @TheZensatori - A standard banjo has 22 frets and a long neck has three extra frets. Without the capo at the third fret, the long neck would be in Open E tuning.

  • @anotherpintband That's bad-ass :)

  • I just "found" this song by Thin Lizzy yesterday and been loving each version better. I knew it had to be an old Irish folk song upon hearing it. I have got to work this into my set

  • @Thrawn6211 - Banjitars are awesome. I really want to get one someday. I'll have to re-evaluate my wish list and see if I need to move it up.

  • Luke Kelly was a great performer all around, I'm glad to see he has his own month, I'm thinking about getting a banjitar, so I think I may learn this one.
