Fabulous performances by Jerry Wald and his band showing traces of Woody Herman, Artie Shaw, and Stan Kenton (but who influenced who?). Also there is the mysterious, under-appreciated (these days, that is) singer Anita Boyer who is both a fantastic singer with great phrasing and a great "scat" singer who sings unison with Jerry note--for-note. Wonderful performance!!! Her appearances are so rare these days that this one goes into my 'favorites' list.
