Colourbox - Arena II

Su disco homónimo de 1985 sigue siendo un banco de pruebas con collages sonoros, primitivos sampleados (aunque entonces sonaban como el no va más), cajas de ritmos, experimentación,... pero también aparece una marcada sensibilidad pop y sobre todo soul, gracias a una maravillosa vocalista llamada Lorita Grahame, que destaca en canciones como Arena II (versión larga del tema 'Arena' aparecida en las bonus tracks de la 'casette').

Could someone send me the lyrics? There are a few words I don't get. I've got the CD but there are no lyrics in the booklet.

This music represented the proverbial "pearls before swine" when offered to American audiences.

But they say 50% of people are "below average". I wonder: do they know?

COLORBOX FLAT OUT KICKED ASS. I always wondered what became of them after the two records that I have. Another excellent 4AD band. Reguardless of how it all worked out [or didn't ]4AD was a truly excellent label under Ivo's guidence at least.
