@YessicaRose86 : Those were the golden years of tango. Big orchestras, like american big bands, with tango specific instruments: Piano, bandoneons section at the front, strings section, may be an acoustic guitar in background. Fresedo, one of the master composers and band leaders, had contracts with Victor, Odeon, Columbia, Brunswick. Those bands were softly influenced by different trends, jazz included. Each band lead created its own style, arranging other's themes to that style as well.

I never heard a fusion between tango and cool jazz with Gillespie´s trumpet. This is great and Mr Fresedo´s orchestra sounds like a mix between tango and mood music. For the first time I heard this *my life* or vida mia it seems very melodic with excellent harmony for the trumpet of Gillespie. It remembers me some melodies of Jackie Gleason orchestra with Bobby Hackett but in a cool style. Thank´s for your gift.
