question: on the Anthony Bourdain show, the Layover, Bourdain, was eating the crab fat with sourdough. Is that an item on a menu or something special they did? I so want to eat that along with the oysters, of course. thanks!

Yes it has the freshest seafood and the place has atmosphere. People come from all over the world to eat there. I have seen famous people in there like Rachel Ray and Nicholas Cage. Native San Franciscans are getting fewer and fewer so you can see the next Generation of kids taking over. Lucky tourists dont have time to get addicted to its freshness. When I see people in there eating raw oysters at 9am, hmm, maybe they work graveyard shift.

Swan's has excellent oysters. There is always a line to get in. I used to live up the street on California.
