  • hey, what's up with all those goofy roostertails you make in the river with your line?

    Aren't you spooking the fish?

  • @saltire546 It all depends on the line you're using...any short bellied line is going to require some line to be stripped in prior to casting.

  • Instead of pulling loads of line back every time in just lift the lot in one go and cast easy peasy

  • The Thompson R has the most difficult wading of any river I've ever waded, bar none. Is like tap dancing on pile of greased bowling balls.

  • it's not about looks, especially on those greasy rocks, my last trip up saw me falling in the river more than enough in blizzard conditions. I'll have a staff for next time!

  • get rid of that ridiculous cross country ski pole. other than that you look great
