A Glenn Miller special that transcends time. I hope Glenn Miller will be in heaven. I just adore the video and the innocence that this song portrays. The singers voice and sailor style clothes are so touristly swish. And the allurement of that Shalamar perfume is so irresistible. Ahhh that Oriental experience is blissed to the maxx in less than 3 minutes of song. WOW.
Like being gently slapped between the ears with a rather large camp and friendly slab of brie there is something truly wonderful about the Transfer's version of this song, despite, or maybe even because of that rather cheesey synth line, whatever it is I absolutely adore this track! Fondue anyone? :-)

For this to be on "Top of the Pops" it must've been a hit in Britain - which it wasn't in the USA, although they certainly had other hits at home.
