I've been going to live shows and collecting recordings of them for 25 years now and this show stands as one of my alltime favorites by any band ever. A groove deeper than the abyss and guitar wilder than the gales of a storm at sea. Most art that was cutting edge in its day seems relatively tame decades later, but a masterpiece like this still seems completely fresh to my eyes and ears. Amazing and superb!

a great band! cutting edge even now! Adrian a creative force! Check out his work with King Crimson on the Discipline, Beat and 3 of a Perfect pair era. Theres live stuff too. But the Heads are great! David Byrne!

I now have two favorite bands that I now adore equally... DEVO AND THE TALKING HEADS!!! Once in a lifetime, you've got to ask yourself... are we not men?

@kucharek01 i agree, both great bands, but even if he didn't influence him, Belew definitely anticipated A LOT of Johnny Greenwood's approach to the guitar, particularly in it's relationship to the arrangement.

@kucharek01 disagree tremendously, no point in debating it here

This is literally the best thing I have ever seen.

@BabyWetsAllNight Uh, Radiohead is a great band, one of my favorites of all time. So is Talking Heads, but comparing the two is a bit silly, because they sound nothing alike. Thom Yorke is obviously a huge TH fan, but I agree with you that there is hardly any TH influence to be heard in their music.
They both have/had a very unique sound.
