Oh, I used brand X silicone at Walmart around $3 a tube. It will stick on the gasket and I also sealed an old cast iron wood stove I had before. I found this out several years ago on you tube.........of course!!!

I have an EPA stove like yours and love it. Learned the first year over and over to use gloves. When I am cold I do all I can to keep warm efficiently. I compare the emissions that I am putting out, with corporations, and SUV's. I hope those who complain about wood stove are driving 50mpg vehicles before opening their mouths.(But they don't) Great video. Tanx!

I have a wood stove as well, and they keep the house nice and warm.

The EPA stove have air tubes that go across the top that circulate the fresh air and burn the gasses coming out of a piece of wood. A typical piece of hardwood at 20% moisture is 12,000 Btu, half of which is the gasses. I used to be in the fireplace business...

those stoves don't need the damper on the pipe, the one on the stove is the only one you should have or use.
