After 30 + years of playing guitar and sucking at playing lead, I decided to take guitar lessons. At one point, my instructor (great guy, great player) showed me how to play major scales in all the modes,3 notes per string. No way I could memorize all that (memory is the first thing to go at my age) so I had to find a method to make it dead easy to remember......and I found it. When I showed that to my instructor, he was astonished that he had never figured that one out. So here it is. The easy method to 3 notes per string major scales. You know what, after all this, I still suck at playing lead.
