From the first season of SS. Then on the first season of TMS, Jim Nabors did it. So at least we'll know what's being sung in English if you've watched Jim Nabors' version many times.

  • It's good to see this back again after the German post from 2007 got deleted. It's a real shame this can't be released anywhere as of now, for obvious reasons. But ah well, English or not, still a classic clip.

By the way, I'm sort of glad I never saw this as a kid, cause the hair blowing off the woman probably would've scared me.

  • And you were just requesting me some of those songs from the first season. It'd be nice to see them if copyright infragment isn't such a problem.

  • Unfortunately, Gone with the Wind was cut from the first season DVD release.

  • Oh yeah. It was a shame that they did that.

  • Now imagine it was an anime :)

  • @MarshalGrover If Jim performed Guy Smiley in the English version (if that even exists) does that mean that Frank Oz or Carroll Spinney was the woman?

  • hey look its hitler and his wife

  • It's me again, and like you guys I, too would like to see the English version of the clip. You want to know what I think? Even though it's funny, I think they should've named it "Don't Sing In The Hurricane." If you see someone like Guy Smiley singing in that kind of weather, you might as well put a sign on him that says: " I'm singing in the hurricane, and I'm a complete idiot!" No. The sign would blow away. But you guys get the picture, I bet. LOL!

  • Okay. When I was little, I saw that sketch but it was sung in english and in a different song. And another thing that came in my mind was " what in the world is Guy Smiley doing out there singing in a heavy gust of wind? Is he nuts!?!" What was the point in all that? I know it's funny, but in real life only an idiot would stand outside in the storm doing that. Kinda embarrassing when clothes are blown off, revealing yourself in your boxers, eh Guy Smiley? LOL!

  • @IJustWatchEm71 Yes they did. But the last time they showed

it on Sesame Street either Ford or Carter was President. I hope

I could see it at least one more time before I die. Again- music

    clearance hassles...

  • man I'm DYING for the english version, my brother and I use to crack up laughing at this when guy smiley's voice would crack as he tried to sing over the wind.

  • Goodness, I haven't seen this for over 30 years. Well this is the last time I'll ever see this. lol
