  • i hated when people call rome an democratic replubic it's called a replubic geez

the romans never call their government an democratic replubic.

some of these historians don't know what their are talking about.

  • From what TV show is this?

  • I think it was the Praetorian Guard. ;-)

  • Okay, thank you.

  • There really was no "Elite" Roman Army. All of Rome's armies were elite, they had superior training, discipline, and a wider range of melee and siege weapons compared to their enemies. For sake of argument, the most experienced soldiers were formed into the Praetorian Guard, who protected the Emperor, though they were never put into the field as combatants. Rome was able to conquer most of the known world because they could adapt their tactics to defeat their enemies.

  • By any change, do you know what the Elite Roman army was called?

  • Very good, 5 stars.
