Toronto's transit system suffers from serious underfunding due to the lack of funding by the federal government.

While the Harper government has failed to deliver real funding, and helped to delay delivery of new higher capacity street cars and subway trains, Olivia Chow and New Democrats are fighting to improve public transit in Toronto, and all across Canada.

Street cars are like rotary phones why are we getting new rotary phones? What Toronto needs is a Queen subway. The streetcars work on College, Spadina and even King for tourists but everywhere else with a growing population they need to go. They slow down everything. Look at even Montreal which is a smaller city then Toronto and their subway system is amazing compared to the LARGEST city in canada.
