  • Thank you for sharing this wonderful video of Ven. Thubten Chodron! Learning to bring peace into our own hearts and then freely giving it to others makes life meaningful and peace-filled. Buddhism isn't for everyone and is not meant to be. But for those to whom it speaks, loving the Dharma brings heaven to earth. Tashi delek!

  • The colors of the light beams described in the first video is white, red, blue. In the second video she says red, white, blue. Which is correct?

  • I do not understand how a person can 'own' sins or negativity such as killing another human or (at least) stealing and have enough 'goodness' in them to flush this out everday, how can someone hold on to such a history and progress in the buddhist way?

Surely it would be better to start a new, to be a person who is free from the burdens of the past. If there is no self, then the creator of the negative energy was merely a delusion, and as such should not be allowed to affect the present being.

  • Beautiful explication

  • thank you!

  • @ribassribass As a buddhist I would tell you that what you call god, we call ultimate reality. The entire universe is thus what you call god. So there is no point in talking about what ultimately is yourself. This is the inner essence of all religions, even Jesus said: ye are all gods. And more importantly: the kingdom of heaven is within you. So stop looking outside, for heaven sakes, these stupid ideas like christian, muslim... these are methods, not facts.

  • @GodKillerAtheist Buddhist monks have to skin their hair, so they don't need to concentrate on how they look and the hair doesn't get in their way.
