Utter Destruction Along Ike's Path

Residents along the Bolivar Peninsula, Texas are returning to their homes to find almost nothing there. As Ted Shaffrey reports, nearly all 200 homes along the peninsula were totally destroyed by Hurricane Ike. (Sept. 16)

After a dozen years we may get some more oil from offshore drilling but most of it will be sold to China because we owe china hundres of billions of dollars and there will be more consumers of oil-MORE people wll be driving cars. I did do a lot of research-it's called news reports. Type in Hurricane Katrina and oil spills. MSNBC reported 44 separate spills in the ocean. In fact a lot of oil spills happened after hurricanes. Of course you rather have crude oil inside the fish you eat-enjoy your colon cancer. 640,000 people in china die of pollution every year. We will be just like them. The environment happens to be important because it is your life support. In China birth defects are up 40$-pollution.

Do some actual research before you go spouting out nonsense on oil spills. Look up sub sea drilling heads and BOP's and get the real facts. Well owners detach drill pipes long before the storm reaches the rig. And we would drill in safer waters if you tree hugging democrats would let us. I don't advocate doing nothing, however, as it stands right now most people, including you, put gas in our cars and use plastic products, that are produced using OIL. If you are without the sin of using oil, you may cast the first stone, but until then you are part of the problem. Yes, we need cleaner forms of energy, but I doubt that Obama or McCain will give the American public that. Oh yeah, I don't own a SUV or eat at McDonalds and I didn't vote for Bush either time.
