In 1977, NASA launched two small spacecraft called Voyager 1 and Voyager 2. Weighing only 800 kgs each, they collected a wealth of scientific data and thousands of photographs of the four giant planets in our Solar System.

After visiting Jupiter and Saturn, Voyager 1's trajectory left the ecliptic plane in order to photograph Saturn's moon Titan. This meant that Voyager 1 would not visit any other planets. However, Voyager 2 continued on to visit Uranus and Neptune. Still today, Voyager 2 is the only spacecraft to have visited these two "ice giants" and their moons.

This music is dedicated to the two Voyager spacecraft and to the people who made them possible.

Instruments used:
- Korg M3 music workstation with Radias expansion
- Korg Radias synthesizer

  • 150,000 views is a lot, but this video deserves a lot, lot more. I've been watching it for years now and keep coming back to it. The video and music combine to make you feel like you're been taken along on Voyager's journey. It's fantastic.

  • Thank you Rune, for sharing your talent here on Youtube.

I wonder what´ll come up in the new year.

From here (DK) i´ll wish you a marry christmas, and a happy new year 2012.

  • The Voyager ships make me feel proud of humanity. They are one of the best things we have made real of all our dreams. It's exciting to me that, after 34 years, they are still working and they can execute commands sent by the Earth control. Thank you!
