  • Great review. I loved the origional game.

  • @dudegreg - Cheers!

  • this punk is funny "The year of our lord".. This is the Americas.. fuck kings and queens.. long live freedom from monarchy.. although we don't live quite free enyways.. we should have a revolution again but against the current regimes whom taken after the lame monarchy and take us all (the working class) as thei're subjects..

  • @SuzySanz15 - It was a reference to the intro of the original game...

  • How do you train troops and make buildings build faster? I don't wanna spend 100 turns waiting for a frickin' armory!

  • @shadowofadoubt95 - It tells you this in the Civpedia (I think). You need to train (or purchase) suitable units (like a master carpenter) and assign them to the lumber yard. They'll produce more lumber and hence your buildings will build faster...

  • the king has man o wars in the origional. you could get a couple from your euro supporters after the final war starts, but that was dependent on your own power and position. fighting off the the king in the orig was a pretty simple proposition, he only attacked ports, so you could build up with only one port, then use your army to pick at them from behind while they try to lay siege/attack your port city. and you had the advantage when attacking from anything but a city square

  • @shadowofadoubt95 Civ 4 col.. is fun but fucking anoying.. I know what you mean by waiting so long to build something.. If you don't have food, it takes longer for something to be built, and if you don't have lumber it wil take longer as well. The worst is that you don't get enough time to get your revolution going.. you only have about 130 turns before you lose.. Just have fun and try to find out how to win.. Sorry I could not be much help but I do sympathize with you..

  • @KRonSimis well it last mucth longer if you turn time victory off

  • In the original game there was a "Foreign intervention force" who would come to my aid during the revolution. Is there such a thing in this newer version?
