The Bus Line To No-Where?

Where Is The Bus Line Between Clarksville and Nashville?
There is a invisible intercity bus line between the cities of Clarksville and Nashville that runs five days a week, Monday through Friday. This intercity bus line was designed to serve low-income person, welfare recipients and rural residents seeking employment or those already employed in Nashville as a transit provider carrying them back and forth to work throughout the week. This bus line is invisible because no-one has seen or used it in this manner since it was made operational over ten years ago. However, the Tennessee Department of Transportation by way of the Federal Transit Administration provides federal funds to Mid-Cumberland Transit Service to provide this intercity transit service. The Job Access Reverse Commute program clearly states that this funding must be used to transport low-income persons back and forth to work Monday through Friday. The question that must be asked is Where is the money?

The Title VI Action Committee has requested that all federal agencies that provide the city of Clarksville with federal funding halt or freeze awarding federal dollars until a full Title VI Audit and Review can confirm that the city is in compliance with the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

It is not a CIVIL RIGHTS ViOLATION for a city not to provide tranportation to a city 50 miles away for poor people! I don't know of any cities that have a bus that goes 50 miles just to transport a bunch of people that can't transport themselves but have money to buy other things........

How about ride the Clarksville city buses and find a job in Clarksville? Maybe buy a car or ride with someone to work. Quit blaming the white man for the failures of the black people in the community. Take responsibility and leave us white folk out of it.
