There were several reports of conjoined twins born in Vietnam following the use of Agent Orange during the Vietnam War, including the story of ischiopagus tripus twin brothers, Nguyen Viet and Nguyen Duc, born near Plateau de Kontum in southern Vietnam on February 25, 1981. Connected at the hip, and sharing some internal organs, the twins were surgically separated on October 4, 1988 at Tu Du Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, two years after Viet had survived a critical brain disease. Today, Duc is a healthy young man and has recently gotten married, while Viet suffered severe brain damage and died in October 06, 2007.
