Nope, it's supposed to be humour, given that your nom de tube is "sheets of sound", which was a description used about John Coltrane's style of playing, The "does it play tunes as well?" comment is something that was said to Trane in his earlier days by one of the more "mainstream" players. As such, you could regard it as a bit of humour, or almost take it as a compliment. Your call, obviously.

Real good playing, a touch of Gambale in there (I could mention worse influences) real beautiful improvisation an tone,very expressive, see you linked to my 500 Miles to your "My space" page. Amazing technique you got but all is wonderful in place and greatly paced in rhythm, pleased to meet you,you're a guitarist of great caliber, friendly Victor.
