i was pulled by traffic revenue collectors (volvo driving traffic warden/police constable) for not wearing a seat belt
he and his partner seemed to think that i may be traveling without insurance i have had the same policy for 6 years and it was originally fully comprehensive meaning that i had cover if i drove another mans car as long as he had insurance on the same vehicle
i would never travel in another car without that cover
so you can imagine my shock when it turned out that 'The Computer says NO' line threw me a tad!!
when we got home we contacted our insurance brokers who we have used for over 10 years were shocked to hear about what happened and said 'don't worry we sort out this mistake'
an hour later they called back and said the company said when i moved and mum informed them that i'd lost my job the company removed the extra as it meant now i had more time on my hands not being at work they thought i'd be spending more time on the road ????????
my brokers are going to write to the revenue collectors who tried to enforce their service on me and put them straight i'm gonna report them for section 5 of the public order act
behaviour that may cause alarm or distress and using words that may intimidate
they said no crime had been commited so why stop me and cause so much alarm and distress?

  • 1. Driving without insurance is not a crime, it's a moving traffic offence. 2. Police need no reason at all to force a vehicle to stop ona public road. 3. You've clearly stated that it was the insurance company's fault and not the police's, so why are you going off on a rant about them? 4. A policeman lawfully carrying out his duty does not contravene S5 of the public order act, irrespective of whether or not you were harassed, alarmed or distressed

  • @UKbrief82 1.I was taught at school that police deal with crimes and criminals,

i was told i had not commited no crime2.Police do need a reason, they need reasonable communicable suspicion of a crime has or is about to be commited

3 i had commited no crime

4 i went to court and the judge laughed it out

a waste of court time my time and the consatables time

the police are there for crimes and criminals

his statement said he told my i had not commited a crime that is why the judge threw it out

  • @psychodrilla Police do deal with crime and criminals, but that's not their only purpose. You are misinformed, read the road traffic act. Police do not need any reason at all to stop a moving vehicle on a public road. A moving traffic offence is not a crime, but you can be prosecuted for it in exactly the same way, the only difference is the way in which it is recorded by Police. I guarantee the Judge did not laugh it out of Court because from your own description, it was a justified prosecution

  • @UKbrief82 you are wrong

it was laughed out by the judge,FACT

i do not care if you believe it or not

    now go away

  • Wow another person who tried the freeman thing and failed, AGAIN!

  • EU directives regarding the standards on a policy, ie you are " the legal fiction " " the driver " " the person " and the insurance document, is a contract, that cant be sold legally when it does not do what it is supposed to, that is indemnifying you of damages should an incident occur that, YOU, " the driver ", " the legal fiction " , " the person " are involved in.

insurance for your car, is YOURS, the car is inanimate object, how can IT sign a contract, unless its fucking herbie !

  • thank you for posting this, it’s very good that you held your ground

  • @psychodrilla Don't you think that a lot of "Anti-Freeman comments probably come from police officers or their partners?

  • Dont answer any of their questions.

    I hate the pigs

  • @UKbrief82 bolloxs

  • The officers who dealt with you, spoke with you in a polite, calm and informative manner. They explained clearly what was happening and what they did was correct. Driving without insurance makes every other road user your victims. If there was an oversight by your insurers, that is no fault of the police officers. FYI the police may request your driving documents at any time - not just if you have been involved in an accident or offence. As for the "I’m not governed" nonsense - what utter drivel

  • @batmanjim1 the freeman thing has nothing to do with dealing with the police its a legal matter that only matters in court .cuntstbbles havent the intelligence or training to know what the difference between legal or lawful
