Last day at YouTube

Like the site itself, working at YouTube is a collection of moments: some are beautiful, some absurd, others tug at your heart strings or make you dance in your chair, while still others exist that are never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna run around and desert you (gotcha! :)

Ever since christoForm's collection of Beatles memorabilia left these shelves, that empty space has been bugging me. In homage to what came before it, this latest piece is a collection of the creative outpouring of 16 individuals (randomly selected from my Gmail's All Contacts list, although for the life of me I don't remember emailing them...) Each person was assigned a letter to create in whichever way they wanted to and no one was told what the end result would spell out. Thus, like the YouTube site itself, I find the end result to be funny, sweet, and something much larger than the sum of its parts.

Hmm, although I suppose if this piece were truly like YouTube it would be misspelled...
