i of course have excuses for the ending:

1. in terms of story, the script was done in 10 min and with the single purpose of testing a few shooting techniques;

2. regarding the single continuous take, we were in a rush and there were a few people staring suspiciously (private property... carrying a gun). We made 1 take, no repetition and we got the hell outta there :)
