The pace is too fast. The Bass drums are not tuned together or harmonically tuned. A buzz role is using the head bounce to make the roll sound faster. Go back to rudiments with a metronome and practice practice practice. You will then be able to play doubles and even triples, with the pace you march at that will sound amazing

I thought the RBL marched at 100 paces per min. thats what my band plays for them. This is Light Infantry pace and made the rest of the parade struggle. How many strokes angina and heart attacks occured I hate to think. If you play with 2 bass drums tuned "nearly" the same then they must play an exact 4 to the bar. I also hate buzz rolls. I think a good band in the wrong parade. Sorry guys

Thanks for your informed comments.Not being a "player" I don't understand all of what you sais but I do remember they seemed to be going at quite a pace.
