I am also confused about her answers. I calculated those amount 5 difference times, I came up with the same 1029.06. I even try calculating 12870 x .008, but it resulted in difference answer as well. May be she miscalculated the wrong probelm.
Professor Crosson, you said that the federal unemployement tax was $12,870 X .8% is 457.92 cents but I got $1029.06 and for the state unemployement tax I got $694.98. I am not understanding why I am not coming up with your two answers :(
