More rare footage of Writz in this Tim Marshall directed 1979 BBC Pilot programme. There was no such thing as a pop video back in the day, you had to attract the interest of a TV producer to get on the silver screen. Fairnie's wooden TV and yellow rubber budgie were just 2 of the many props that attracted such attention, as they were produced nightly from his ever present "funnybox".
