  • i think Hefe-Weizen is some good beer for summer if anyone wants some fresh and the taste is like a little bit from fruits .. anyway I like to drink Pils more than other.... Im Himmel gibt's kein Bier, drum trinken wir hier...

  • Thanks for the comments.

    Ich stimme zu..

  • No, not all beer should be ice cold. Only crappy grainy beers should be drank ice cold (to mask the grain/corn/rice taste).

The darker the beer the warmer it should be served. You wouldn't drink a chocolate stout ice cold would you?

I love how you can judge a beer off just one swig! LOL

  • I live in FL.. Its hot here.. When your working outside during the day a cold beer is best for me.

I dont drink stouts until its cold out as its heavy. I love them but they are not good summer beer. so yes warmer would be OK. But the best thing about beer is there are many types. Something for everyone. Ice cold, cold, warm or room temp. We are all different and companies make money crafting beers for the diverse discerning tastes.

  • drinking this right now...pretty good. my favorite ipa is still the sierra nevada torpedo extra ipa...love that. i saw that you were drinking this beer out of a frosty mug. does that not make it a little more watered down to you? also, i find that I get a bit more flavor if i drink it at 40-45.i don't let it get to 50 but 40-45 degrees. this one for instance seems to have nothing but pine straight out of the fridge but as it warms a bit i get malts in there for balance. to each his own i guess.

  • Only imperial stouts are heavy, Guinness has less calories and alcohol than regular Budweiser. That's just a misconception that stouts are "heavy" - they're intended to be session beers, not one-and-done brews.

Beer Advocate has an appropriate temperature range for every beer. I always check there before I drink a new beer.

I'd love to see you review a beer on the the first tasting of it. Check out my beer reviews because that's how I do it (if I've already had it before I say that up front)

  • Me likes the IPA's! Great review Pete!

  • Yeah over here the beers are really going up in price.. Im growing hops now to make my own soon.

    Thanks,

    -Pete
