The woman is Helen Gahagan Douglas, wife of Oscar winner Melvin Douglas & grandmother of Illeana. This is the only movie she made before entering politics.

Didn't know there was an earlier version than the mid-sixties Hammer one. Ursula Andress is far more beautiful than this woman.
