Flash CS3 and Swift3D Express Plugin Tutorial - 3D Custom animations made easy

In this tutorial Adam gives a quick beginner example on how to use the Swift3D Express Plugin for Flash. He shows you how to draw out a custom shape using the pen tool, then he loads it into his Swift3D Express plugin using the Command drop down list in flash. You can do some really cool things with the 3D plugin for Flash, but Adam enjoys using the stand alone version of Swift3D more for making SWF file models and animations he can import into his Flash timeline and further manipulate.

Hey i just got and installed Swift 3D 5 and when i open up my flash(i have adobe flash cs3) the plugin isn't in my commands dropdown.

i,ve tried uninstalling and re-installing, but still no luck, can someone help me?

If you have the swift3D Express plugin for flash it should work. When you get the little plugin there are directions for placing the proper files so flash displays the command plugin in the commands list.

But you can do the same stuff with your full 5.0 version and more. Just render the 3D out as SWF and import into flash. Same thing, and better. I have full version too, and I rarely use the Express plugin because of that.

You can make similar things and import the swf finished product into flash easily enough using 5.0

But for the command plugin that I used in the vid you need Swift3D express plugin for flash.
