On the heels of the Presidents town hall meeting last night and as Congress readies to head home for the fourth of July recess, Conservatives for Patients Rights will focus attention on 14 key U.S. Senators in 11 states by running TV ads in each Senators home state. They will launch new national ads as well as state specific ads beginning June 29th and continue through the July 4th recess. One ad includes references to $400 hammers and $600 toilet seats, and makes the point that nothing is ever cheaper when the government gets involved. The second spot, shot in a doctors office, portrays a government bureaucrat coming between a patients relationship with her doctor.

  • Replace the "government bureaucrat" in this commercial with "private insurance rep" and it's the same thing. Insurance companies get in the way of doctor and patient decisions all the time.

  • bullllllllshit

  • The actors do a fun and convincing job!

  • Perhaps the most amusing aspect of this advertisment, is the way it seems to parody a show for small children. They obviously have a target audience in mind, ie imbeciles.

  • What does "reform" have to do with nationalization? The Dems are just picking any problem and using every single thing as a justification for them to control everything.

How about allowing competition between state lines. Or giving the tax credits to people rather than corporations? Americans have the best treatment in the world and now that they are on the verge of losing it, they know that the grass isn't greener after all.

  • Lookup Richard Scott and HCA, or Columbia/HCA Healthcare.

This guy is behind this "organization"; he and his company have some nasty background.

    Sad but interesting.

  • I want health care reform. I'm one of many that are uninsured and have difficulty going to doctors by being "limited" cash wise.

  • This commerical is retarded. This is for republicunts that hates to pay for the poor and disabled. This country is going to hell on 2 levels. 1. Is the rich and 2. is the races.

  • The British are coming in the form of a bull shit republican.Go eat a crumpet you tea drinking bastard.

  • I'm in England and you don't want what we have. We have to change doctor every time we move house, and we wait for 1 week just to book an appointment for a minor ailment such as a cold. If you need to go to a hospital then that takes several months!

We get taxed to pay for the NHS whether we like it or not.

  • What the fuck!I was denied health exams from my own private healthcare insurance. What in the fuck are there talking about. This is all bullshit! These assholes know if this ever passes they would have to compete. The insurance companies would have to open it's doors to preexisting conditions and all the other crap that is denied. But the ad is funny as hell. The guy looks like a geeky pervert. She could have been getting her Virgina exam.
