  • Thanks for posting this series. Why do the forms angle up and down, for the elevation changes? Wouldn't it be easier to make vertical transitions?

  • @ProfileMachiningLLC You need to ask that to the foundation subcontractor. That's the way he does it. Look at Part 3 video in this series and I believe you'll see why he did it the way he did. If that doesn't help, try to send him an ESP message. :->

  • @AsktheBuilder I don't have ESP:(

I just watched vid 2 and 3. I see I should have held my questions till the end.

We are planning to build this spring, so I'm here to learn as much as I can.

    Thanks again.

  • @ProfileMachiningLLC No worries. Don't sell yourself short. You may have ESP. Try and focus.

  • Appreciated your butter & knife analogy in explaining the use of footings in foundations...thnx!

  • Thank you for making this video very basic and taking the time to explain everything. I've been looking at doing a small home project on some acreage and I had to sift through various videos and google searches to figure out why things were done the way they were.

  • I am building a room out of block on my patio slab can I build it on the slab or do I need to pour a footer next to the slab.
