Below is some basic information:
A documentary of pictures of my Orthognathic Jaw Surgery completed on June 10, 2008 to correct my overbite. The surgery was done in 5 hours at the Ohio State Medical Center by Dr.Larson and his staff of doctors. I could not eat food for 6 weeks and was on a liquid diet. If you have any further questions about this surgery or if you are planning to have it and want advice feel free to e-mail me at the address provided at the end of the video.
The Procedure:
-Broke both my Upper and Lower Jaws
-Put in Titanium Metal "L" Shaped Plates to hold my jaws in place
-Inserted screws through holes in my cheeks that they created to hold my jaw in place
-Put in a retainer that stays in for 8 weeks after surgery and goes through the gums to make the body learn about the new mouth placement and recover correctly. This apparatus must be surgically removed in a small operation only requiring sedation for a few minutes.
-Adjusted the distance between my nose and upper lip arch for maximum results
All of this was done to correct an overbite that I genetically received that could not be fully remedied through Orthodontic treatment and to prevent future consequences such as TMJ, Sleep Apnea, and many more...
The video in the song is Savin' Me by Nickelback.

hey its me again, quick question. What caused your open/over bite? You look like a thin/tall guy too and I just came across a disease that could cause this, marfan syndrome. Im guessing yours wasnt caused by thumb sucking/tong thrust, so what was yours caused by? Im really worried that i have this sort of disease that occurs in tall and thin people, narrow jaws, taller than family members, narrow face, etc. MArfan syndrome, get back to me if you know of this, and what caused your open bite. Thx

@ClanBrJ Sorry for the delayed response but if it helps it was genetics. My mom's side of the family had an over-bite so thats why. However, I did "thumb suck" as a child.

@ClanBrJ It was due to genetics. However, i did suck my thumb as a child and tongue thrust. But the overall factor was genetics.
