@Gb755c a muster drill is when the sirens go off, and you head to a certain station in the ship, then wait untill its over. Its a drill to prepare people if there is a fire or that the ship is sinking.

If this was abandon ship the captain would say "Vessel is lost, abandon ship, abandon ship". I work for Holland America Line and have just finished sea survial which involves abandon ship.
