this is helpful, thank you :)
I like your video very much ^^
and I would like to see how your drawing looks like finished [if you have finished it- I don't always finish my drawings :/ ]
anyway, I give you thumbs up and I hope you do more videos with drawing tips, keep going :)

@AnArtistPsychoMind Thanx for your kind comment! Personally, I believe that if you're not feeling it, there's no need to finish a sketch. I leave them half-done for months or even years until I feel I'm in the right mood. :P The finished drawing can be found on my deviant art page (my username is sci-rose) under the title "Schedophilus Maculatus sketch", if you wanna check it out.

@bukroot why dont you make something like a paper with one square cut out and hold it over the original picture it would be alotaa easier :D

@lolrazfour This video shares just a way that helped me when I was little and just starting out. But there are a whole bunch of other ways. You can use whichever one suits your style and personality best or makes you feel most comfortable. What you consider easier may actually be harder for others and vice versa.

Thank you I've been struggling with sketching recently and realism has never been my thing,But I know it will only make me a better artist, although this seems like it will take a long time I'm sure it's worth it.Can you really begin to notice the details more?Because that's exactly what I fail at..I mean I draw a general okay sketch but the details of it and shading has always looked confusing to me...I'll definitely try this thank you!^.^

@LavenderLava It really does help you notice better and draw exactly what you see. With daily practice, it took me just a week to see some progress in my work. After a month I was already drawing photographs that looked like the original (although they weren't perfect). Just make sure you keep all your work in a folder or something so you can monitor how much better you became after every drawing. :) Good luck!
