My new hair do after taking down my locks

After having locks for over 15 yrs I decided to change my look, tell me what you think :)

From what I understand nobody can have perfectly clean locs because skin cells and things in the air can get trapped in the middle. i cut one of my locs once and diseccted it to see if it was as clean as it appeared on the outside and was suprised at what was in the middle. It was kind of disappointing at first but then I thought about it and realized that its impossible to have locs with nothing in them.

@artistNexile your absolutely right it is impossible to have nothing inside the locs as that is what fuses the hair to locs in the first place. I was shocked to see it myself and like you I realised that same fact.

I know what you mean about the lint, oily dirt and product build up inside of the locs! It was surprising... shocking! I was diligent about keeping my locs clean, but it seems to be the nature of locs. Unavoidable. I didn't cut mine before picking them out so I had a whole grocery bag of hair.
