That was the standard equipment until the "bunker gear" came in the mid 90s. They wore "just" the classic long coat (ruberized Nomex coat) and 3/4 rubber hip boots which covered most part of the leg when pulled up

Maybe a stupid question but didn't the firefighters use any pants? in the video i see them only wear those large boots and a jacket.
