(Katie's point of view)
- What? How? When? Huh? You? I mumble confused
- Oh Katie, Melanie sighted
Words couldnt come to my mouth. I really must be dead then. I wouldnt be seeing what Im seeing if I wasnt...right?
- No youre not dead...yet, Melanie says
She was like in a dream. Surrounded by smoke and a ray of light. She looked even more beautiful than I remembered. She was wearing a long, white and flowy dress.
- What happened to you? She asks
- It would really be too long to explain. Theres so many. I say
- I know all that. I know about the accident, the pain, I know, She says.
- Its like if God was just punishing me over and over again for what I never did, I say
- First of all, God is not punishing you. Theres a reason you survived so many things. Your place is on earth. With your family, with your friends., She says
- Well, what if I dont WANT to live!? I cant take it anymore Mel! It hurts too much.
- Dont say that. I know you can survive it. I know you better than anyone. Thats what I meant by what happened to you? You used to be the girl who wouldnt let anything stop her. You're strong enough. You have so many things to accomplish, it's not your time to go yet, Mel says
- Than why did YOU leave?! It wasn't your time either! You deserved to stay alive, I scream
- I served my time, it was the way it was supposed to be. I have accepted it, you have to too, Mel says calmly
How could she just accept the fact that she died so young?
- I"m the one who deserves to DIE! I shout
- STOP IT! Youre not yourself anymore! The Katie I knew was a fighter. A girl who never backed down even when life was throwing her the most horrible things. She would not take the easy way out!
- Its too tough! I need you...
- I promise, things will get better. I died for you to be able to live this life. To watch over you. Dont ruin everything. Dont let my death be for nothing. Now you have to hang on. Promise me that you WONT EVER LET GO! You promised your Dad, Mel says

- YOU CAN! Melanie says grabbing my hands. Think about your family, think about dance. There are so many reasons for you to stay. Some you know, some you'll find out later. But I'm telling you its worth it!

- Ok, youre gonna fall asleep now. When I leave and you wake up, you have to call the person who you knew will always be there for you. The person who PROMISED that he'd protect you and never let anything happen to you.
She smiles at me and I nod. I lay down, starting to feel fatigue come to me. She sits down and starts singing while stroking my hair.

Then slowly, she fades away. I open my eyes, the pain rushes back to me. I think of her last words. Things flash back to my mind. The letter. His words.
(You know that as the oldest brother, I've always made it my duty to watch over you guys. When all that drama happened, I felt like I had failed for you. I hadn't been as present as I should have been. Now I promise, I'll ALWAYS be there for you. Call, e-mail or text me whenever you need to talk and I'll listen to you for as long as it takes)

Ok, well IDK if you remeber bu in the original series, their was a chapter called "The Letter". In that, Kevin, Joe and Nick told Katie how they felt about her. Kevin said what I wrote at the end. He'd always answer the phone for her. Always be there....
