  • Dorothy Stratten was Canada's Marilyn Monroe. She would have turned 50 today, on this closing of the Vancouver 2010 Olympics.

  • "Here's to all that once was, but is no more".-quote, from me.

  • Poor Dorothy RIP. If I were her at the time, though, I would've fucked the shit out of John Ritter.

  • Marilyn was the one, the only ONE of a kind. Sad about Dorothy remember the day it happened the seeing the paper with the headline of her death. RIP Dorothy.

  • John Ritter and Dorothy Stratten make a cute couple.

  • @KellyGreen5555 I do believe so. Have you known her personally?

  • @AngelicLove21 Believe it or not, Dorothy was a very kind and sweet soul by all accounts (which is a rarity in Hollywood)

  • @Bhav341 Dorothy (at the age of 18) was hustled by a low life named Paul Snider.

She married the creep because she was very sweet and naive. Dumping this loser was a step in the right direction...and it cost her her life.

  • @Bhav341 I get your point. Movie stars aren't "saint-like," I don't think most people are (regardless if they're in show business or not). It's just that sacrifices were made...

  • @AngelicLove21 oh no, of course not...but, it does say something about the kind of person she was. It bugs me when I hear people talk about these celebrities that died young about how pure and nice and lovely and saint-like they were - oh, yeah, and how they were sure to become a superstar if only....

  • @Bhav341 I agree, it wasn't nice. But it still doesn't justify that she lost her life to it.

  • @AngelicLove21 no, no one deserves to die the way she did, but she was on the verge of dumping the man who helped her get to the top, once she was at the top, that is. That doesn't sound like something a nice person would do.
