@TheSeth011 I agree
-
@Kruegerisgod totally. The band seems to be focused more. Too much drama, too much stuff they had to flush out. Good stuff came out of this record...
-
@BassFever74 nop.. James tells lars to do some rythm changes in drumming to fit the bass.. Check it out ;p
-
@Hulkamaniac418 Well i think they had learned from all that and the near breakup of the band during that time how to comunicate with each other better and talk things out before it got out of hand
-
I'm kinda surprised they filmed the making of this album after the whole St. Anger/Some Kind of Monster drama.
-
does anyone know if theres any youtube vids or any vids of rick rubin in the studio with metallica..cant seem to find any
-
lol good job, lars
-
lars tells them what guitar parts to play..but nobody requests anything from lars. lol whatever works
-
is rick rubin ever there?
-
Now they have a damn good guy on the bass. A fingerstyle bass player is what it takes to make Metallica sound like Metallica :) Rob rules!
I really like this one more than St. Anger, who agrees

this is a huge part of why I like rob so much, in a day when so many bassists have forgotten that bass is supposed to be deep and not baritone electric guitar, or even high pitched like a normal electric, Rob's sound is still incredibly deep sounding and reverberates deep in the confines of your mind
