The Left-Winged Ron Paul of Canada.
RIP! :(

Thre is no heated discussion here and that's the problem! Rather than asking Mr. Layton to expand on his viewpoints and then challenging them with intelligent arguments, Mr. Dobbs merely placated Mr. Layton and seemed to dismiss him as a naive idealist. Other than commenting that other trade agreements besides NAFTA have also contributed to our economic woes, I feel Dobbs failed to ake advantage of the situation to broaden the perspective of his more iberal minded viewers!

@wladeslaw - I didn't see any 'heated debate' and I watched the whole tape. I saw fear in Layton's eyes that Dobbs might wake up and ask him the 'C' question. Lucky him, Dobbs did not wake up.

@weazz - You are so naive, it's sad. Look for this at blogspot [[[ dot ]]] com: COMMUNIST LINKS OF THE NDP AND THE BLOC QUÉBÉCOIS.

@crazyforcanada That's a giant misconception. The NDP, which btw before you jump to conclusions I have nor will I ever vote for. Believes in both. Let the public aspects of society stay public and not private, but people are still entitled and able to own their own private property and businesses. If they were communist there wouldn't be a communist party of Canada guy. Perhaps you should let facts and not bias opinion shape your perspective.

@MegaMaxx37 - Quebec was never separating, you need to wake up. The referendums did not propose separation, they proposed the overthrow of all of Canada by replacing Confederation with the European Union system, basis of continental union and "deep integration" (disappearance of Canada in North America). Had the scam prevailed, Alberta would be an EU-style federal state today with no laws of its own, and its resources pooled under orders of Brussels.
-
@Deryntia - can you not tell the difference between democracy and communism.
-
@oldpond24 - uh, no, he was not. While pretending to opposed "deep integration" he and Mulcair were and are still busy in the North American Model Parliament helping the commies organize continental union.
-
@weazz - socialism is communism when your political party's hidden constitution is anti private property and Marxist, which is what the NDP of Canada's is.

@crazyforcanada I see your point now. But it's regardless of whatever political party occupies Parliament. Cons and libs will likewise oversee a race to the bottom, we're racing there already. Solidarity is better than division though. Working poor are already enslaved (barely rent/food-- no private ownership opportunity vs. opportunities, 40-50 years ago, same labour output) and it's moving up the class chain, eventually 1% oligarchy, 99% slave class.
RIP Jack.
Didn't always agree with your policies but you a shining example of upright politics
