I guess it's fitting that Batman and Robin are dressed for adventure on the high seas, since this is the toyline where the franchise really jumped the shark.
Videorogue, thanks a lot for the upload; I have a slightly different version of the same commercial on VHS. But this line didn't jump the shark; LOB was based on DC's Elseworlds concept which places the characters in different eras or circumstances - a "what if" approach. For the most part, I loved it, and Kenner/Hasbro continued producing Batman figures for several years to come.
I remember seeing this as a kid and thinking it was awesome. Then last year I saw the covers for Grant Morrison's "Return of Bruce Wayne" and thought "wait haven't I seen this before?"
