I prefer to buy chicken breasts from the deli counter because it cuts down on costs and I can choose the size of the breast or thigh that I want. In this case, I chose a chicken thigh because I wanted a small portion. You may cut the piece of chicken into cuts or slices. Just the like beef, you can buy chicken precut into strips from the grocery store. It is usually called a "stir-fry cut".
