Portugal Visit June 2010

I make annual trips to Portugal for two reasons: that's where the only family I have left is, and it's where my money comes from. Also, I'm supposed to show my face now and then so people know I'm still paying attention; stuff like that is why I say Portugal is like a Jane Austen novel with modern appliances.

So, one day per visit, I take the "social" tour. The rest of my time is spent by or in the swimming pool, which they usually let me have to myself. I relax, I write, I swim. I usually sunburn my back a little, too.

Hm, got Brancinha's name wrong the second time...
