Could you tell me how you did the fabriaction work?

I did the fabrication of all fasteners myself. The engineplate (i hope that´s the right english word) in the front i cut out with a CAD plasma cutter. The gearbox beam i took the stock Volvo and rebuilt as shown in the video.

The benefits here is that you can use the stock bolt holes in the car for the gearbox and in the front you have the opportunity to place the engine as far back and far down in the enginecompartment as you want to.

Riktigt fet Volvo! :D Den där motorramen som du hade först, gjorde du den själv? Du har inga ritningar eller mått på den? Det skulle uppskattas då jag funderar på att göra ett liknande projekt med min gamla Volvo :)

Den där motorramen fanns (kanske finns) att köpa. Jag valde att inte använda den då den tar alldeles för mkt plats för grenrör/headers samt att det inte går att fixera motorn där jag ville ha den. Luft filter på motorn utan att kapa hål i huven var bara att glömma.

Där har du anledningen till varför jag gjorde mina egna fästen med motorplåt i fram istället.

Nice engine in my favourite (poor Volvo) Volvo 244 body.

what about front springs, dit you raise them up a bit or are they original. the v8 is a bit heavyer than the volvo, this is a nice setup you dit, clever thinking about details.

har du några mått eller tillverkade du alla delarna efter behov? jag har byggt en volvo här i finland med just köpramen för motorn men din lösning ser mycke bättre ut när motorn ligger djupare. ifall du har några mått o ritningar skulle du vilja dela med dig? med email kan du få tag i mig.

What sort of RPM was the engine making in top gear at say 70 miles per hour? I was thinking of using a four speed in my project but was told a five speed would be better . Thing is , I already own the four speed ....
