This is a quick and easy construction method that shows with basic skills and a straight stitch sewing machine you can create great t-shirts yourself. You don't need a serger, pins, or complicated seam finishes. Of course once you have the basics you can make your t-shirts as elaborate as you wish!

  • how to we make the pieces??

  • @superstarcandyapple I suggest buying a pattern or finding a free pattern download online.

  • Hey Brian, thanks for all your vids! But I got a question. In this video I can't really see if you use a straight stitch or a zigzag stitch. Wich one do you use for stretchy fabrics?

    thanks alot!

  • I always use a straight stitch, the more stretch I need the small stitch I use. Zigzag always looks wrong if it's visible as far as i'm concerned. On the inside it's fine, just not on the outside.....

  • The neck band is made from the same type of fabric the shirt is made from. Really any stretchy knit will work, even spandex is great!

  • How did you cut the pieces straight and nicely? Is there like an equipment to cut it?

  • awesome! thank you so much for adding CC.

  • Next time, please use light colored fabric. It was very hard to see the stiches and seams. I enjoy your web page too.

  • I can't believe you didn't use pins!

  • Sure would be nice to know what you are sewing on? 100% cotton? Does this have some spandex? Or is it a stretch poly?

  • thanks for the vid..I was wonder why is it that you hem first..just curious?

  • Enjoyed this video. I've never seen a machine with a rotating stitch plate! Great design.
