@Funk1975-As with any musical collective (notice I said collective, not band), the membership is always open for people to leave and come back when they feel comfortable doing so. There has never been a line up that has existed from one tour to the next. Now I will readily state that the 1976-77 crew put P-Funk in the history books, but that doesn't take away anything from the 1983 crew. That crew restored P-Funk reputation after the near disastrous 1981 tour. All line ups have their purpose.

@Funk1975-I'm sorry, but as a die hard Funkateer, I have to disagree with a number of your observations. While I don't think that P-Funk has to rely on input from rappers, I do believe that they soar to new heights when they feature people like Shock G or any other rapper that has grown up not only with the music but with the philosophy as well. And I defy any Funkateer to deny that they weren't turned out by the band line up of the 1990's. Particularly 1993, 1995, 1996, or 1998.

Houston version is a little better imho....but whatever...
This song has 65k views and Hannah Montana"s snaggletoothed ass has 8 million.
And we wonder why the USA is in decline.
