Hi there, I just find it so difficult to watch as everyone is so concerned with the machinery and not the birthing mother/women, I find managed labours very difficult to understand unless there is real cause for concern, was there a reason this women needed to birth in this environment?

I traced & met my biological mother a few years ago- WORST MISTAKE EVER.

I don’t know what I was hoping to find, but she turned out to be a FILTHY woman living in a dirty house frequented by various male callers. Basically, although nearing 60 she eked out a living as a prostitute bringing a few minutes’ loveless rutting to her tragic clients, even taking one upstairs to her putrid bed as I tried to talk to her. I walked out holding my Bible close, shamed to be spawned from such dross.

I am a mother of 2, and to some woman the simple act of carrying a baby, whether for yourself or for someone else, Is a BLESSING in itself! It is the most wonderful feeling in the world. And some woman are not able to have that experience. God Bless you for giving them this gift. People who make rude comments obviously are not parents.

Here - in Sweden - it's the MOM who's in charge of her delivery (unless there's a reason to be alarmed, like if the babys heartbeat goes down to much or the delivery's gone on for too long and the mom is too tired - then they might consider a caesarean

I would have kicked both the nurses and the midwife across the room, if they had taken over the delivery of my children, like they've done here.

Every childs birth is a miracle and a beautiful event in life, BUT I thank GOD for not living in the States!
