@BHALT0S degree in hydraulics really? Air compression has nothing to do with it. The quick jerk causes of the bottle downward +the water's inertia causes a vacuum bubble that on collapse exerts huge amounts of pressure on the bottle bottom. Similar kind of vacuum bubble as in the cavitation phenomenon. You can prove it has nothing to do with the air compressing by covering the bottle lid or by striking your wrist instead of the bottle and avoid a seal, still works.
