Do you think the term "Lanna" would be politically incorrect in modern times, since said kingdom ceased to exist after 1558? Therefore the language should be called just "Northern Thai."

King Kawila is not king of Lanna Kingdom he just only king of Chiang Mai.

็Lanna kingdom was end at 1558 and never reform .

King Kumsoom (Kawila younger brother) was rule Lampang at that time.

Lamphun is not reform at that time.

Nan&Phare has their own king too.

My comment about the last rain :

The last rain I saw on Chiang my was on the evening of this Monday 19th of May 2008 . Who is able to remember that it was raining so much on this particular evening ... except ... my lover and me ? I have to leave Chiang my ... and the seky,so dark,cries with our eyes ... Yes , I can tell , no lies , that the happiest day of my year is when I say Sawadeejao Chiang my ! and the worst , when I have to say ... goodbye ...

I am french man , but I feel Jaithai ,because seven years ago I fall in love with Chiang mai and thai people I love and respect so much , because , each winter , they welcome me so chalourosly , so kindly with sweet smiles .
